Latitude Manifold Pressure Sensor Issue

I have a 2012 Renault Latitude with a diesel engine. Recently, the check engine light came on, and I've noticed a significant reduction in engine power. The car feels sluggish, and fuel consumption has increased. My local repair shop suspects a faulty manifold pressure sensor. Has anyone experienced similar issues?

I had similar symptoms with my Latitude. Check the manifold sensor, there might be a vacuum leak.

Could you provide more details about what to look for when checking for a vacuum leak on the manifold sensor? Any specific areas that are prone to leakage?

I'm not that familiar with the engine. I was able to find the problem, but I recommend a visit to the workshop if you don't want to make things worse. In the end my workshop said that it was the manifold sensor indeed.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I appreciate the advice. I took my car to the shop and you were right - the manifold pressure sensor was faulty due to large vacuum leakage. The sensor replacement cost me 235€. I am relieved to have this sorted out.
