Latitude Radio Reception Issue

Hi, I have a 2011 Renault Latitude with a gasoline engine. I'm getting a persistent radio reception signal issue. An error message pops up on the infotainment system, and the audio system doesn't work. I checked the error memory, and there's a stored error related to the antenna. Could a defective antenna be the cause?

I had something similar with my Latitude. Radio would just cut out, loads of static noise. It's like trying to catch fish with a string – frustrating. Did it get worse over time, or just suddenly happen?

It happened pretty suddenly. One day it was fine, the next nothing but static. Did you ever figure out what was causing the radio interference or FM signal problems?

Yeah, it was the antenna. Like a weak muscle, it just gave out. I'd suggest getting it checked by someone who knows vehicle electronics. Mine ended up needing a replacement. Cost around 255€ to fix, including labor.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like the antenna is the likely culprit. I'll book an appointment with a workshop to get it checked. The eventual repair cost you mentioned helps me to estimate the expenses. Turns out that the antenna was indeed defective.
