Latitude rail pressure sensor fault

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with my 2012 Renault Latitude diesel. I'm getting a 'Rail pressure sensor signal faulty' error. The check engine light is on, the engine stalls at idle sometimes, and power is noticeably reduced. The car has 191590 km on the clock. Could a defective pressure sensor be the culprit here?

I had similar symptoms with my Latitude. Intermittent stalling and limp mode. Check the sensor and wiring. What is the exact error code you are getting?

The error code is P0191. Did replacing the rail pressure sensor resolve the issue for you completely? Was it difficult to replace?

Yes, P0191 confirms it. I'd advise against trying to replace it yourself unless you're very confident. It's not the easiest job. In my case I ended up just taking it to a workshop.

Thank you for the confirmation and advice. I've taken your advice and had it diagnosed and repaired at a local garage. The rail pressure sensor was indeed defective. The total repair cost was 240€. Engine performance is now back to normal.
