Latitude transport mode issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Renault Latitude displayed 'Transport Mode Active' on the dashboard, along with electrical malfunctions and a non-functional navigation system. The issue was suspected to be related to the car's new ownership and possibly the immobilizer or key fob being out of sync. A diagnostic check was suggested to identify error codes. The problem was resolved with a system reset, restoring functionality without any repair costs.

Thanks. Do I need to start the engine for the diagnostic check to be effective? I'm hesitant because of the electrical issues.

No worries! The engine doesn't need to be running for a basic diagnostic check, but it helps to see the full picture. A decent scan tool should still pull codes even if the engine won't start. However, it may be necessary to start the engine. If you are too concerned, it sounds like it's time for a workshop visit.

I appreciate the advice. A simple diagnostic check resolved the issue. The system needed a reset, and everything is now functioning correctly. No repair costs were incurred.

Huh, 'Transport Mode Active' on a Renault Latitude? That's weird. I had something similar happen with my old Volvo V70 after the battery died completely. Check the immobilizer and key fob. Sometimes they get out of sync. Have you tried a diagnostic check to see if any error codes pop up? It might be worth a shot before diving too deep.
