LC fuel flap issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Lexus LC hybrid owner experienced a malfunction with the fuel flap release, resulting in an error message and some car functions becoming unavailable. The issue was identified as a defective linkage or a dead actuator in the electronic release mechanism. I'm not hearing any clicking sounds. Just a stored error message. Could it really be an electrical fault? Is this something I can fix myself, or am I better off taking it to a shop?

In my experience, when there are no clicking sounds, it's often a sign of a defective linkage or a completely dead actuator. Unfortunately, diagnosing electrical gremlins in modern cars can be tricky without the right tools and knowledge. Given the symptoms, especially the 'unavailable functions,' it's probably best to have a professional take a look to avoid causing further issues. I ended up at the workshop, and it solved my problem. If it is the linkage as it was in my case, the cost was around 210€

Thanks! I'll take it to a workshop. They diagnosed a defective linkage, just like you said. Cost me 210€ to fix it. Appreciate the help!

I had something similar happen with my LC. It’s like a tiny gremlin decided to mess with the fuel door. Does the error memory show anything specific, like a circuit fault? For me, it turned out to be related to the electronic release mechanism. Do you hear any clicking sounds when you press the release button?
