Indeed, the acceleration is noticeably sluggish. Could you elaborate on your experience with the Accord? Did you also observe smoke during acceleration, and what was the ultimate resolution?

Yes, the sluggish acceleration and smoke were present. Honestly, I tried a few things myself, but it didn't solve the issue. Eventually, I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was the exhaust back pressure sensor. Cost me a bit, but it fixed the problem completely. I'd suggest getting it checked out professionally.

Wow, sounds frustrating! I had something similar happen with my Honda Accord a while back. Same warning light and everything. Was your acceleration sluggish too? I'm no mechanic, but it definitely sounds like the sensor.
