Yeah, the key symbol does light up on the dash sometimes. I haven't tried the spare yet, good call. You think it's definitely the battery then, and not some kind of deeper electronic issue?

For me, it turned out to be just the battery in the key fob. But since you're getting a dash light and error codes, might be worth getting it checked at a workshop. They can properly diagnose it and replace the battery if needed.

Thanks for the insight. Turns out it was just the battery in the key fob, like we thought. Workshop replaced it for 37€. Everything's working normally again.

I had something similar happen with my Legend. Does the key symbol light up on the dash when you try to start the car? Have you tried the spare key to see if the same thing happens?
