Lexus CT200h 2022: Solutions for Reduced Heating/Cooling Efficiency and A/C Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Lexus CT200h is experiencing reduced heating and cooling efficiency, with the A/C not turning on and emitting warm air. The issue may be related to the refrigerant compressor, but other potential causes include a blown fuse, relay issues, a bad A/C control switch, or a failed A/C compressor clutch. The suggested solution is to have a mechanic diagnose the problem, with hopes that it is a minor issue like low refrigerant.

Much appreciated for going through the trouble. My Lexus's been on the road for a fair 53495 KM now. The last service was not that long ago honestly, new oil filters and all that jazz. Haven't had any trouble before this, so I was caught off guard. Hoping it's just a refrigerant issue and nothing serious. Gonna swing it by my local mechanic and see what they say. Will keep the community updated. Cheers again!

No probs at all! Hmmm. Based on your mileage and recent service, I reckon your Lexus is still pretty much in a good nick. These symptoms suggest that it could be the refrigerant issue just like what happened with my ES 350. But if your A/C system isn't even engaging, there might be other things contributing to the problem. It could be anything from a blown fuse or relay, a bad A/C control switch, to a failed A/C compressor clutch. Good call on taking it to your mechanic! Don't fret too much I'm sure it's something that can be fixed. Looking forward to your update. Stay cool!

Thanks for the reassurances, really needed it! You might be onto something with the blown fuse or relay, didn't even think of that. Can't wait to see what the mechanic says, fingers crossed it's nothing too expensive or extensive. Also, cheers for being so quick to help, you're a true legend! I'll be sure to keep everyone posted. Catch ya later, and stay frosty!

Hey! I've had a similar problem with my 2020 Lexus ES 350. I'd classify myself as someone with a bit of car experience, not an expert by any means but I know my way around the basics. Turns out, my SUV's AC refrigerant was empty and yep, it was spitting out warm air just like yours. I took it to my local workshop, absolutely sweet lads they are, and they ran a few diagnostics to pin it down to the refrigerant. The best part? They refilled it free of charge, yes you read right, it cost me 0€! Could you provide a bit more info on your car? Like the mileage or the recent service history? That could help to pinpoint the issue a bit better. Cheers!
