Lexus CT200h Engine Jerking and Power Loss
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Lexus CT200h experienced reduced engine power, rough running, and jerking during acceleration, with the check engine light on. The initial suspicion was that the engine might be running lean, possibly due to a faulty oxygen sensor. However, further investigation revealed the issue was a defective fuel injector, which was repaired at a workshop, resolving the problem.

Thanks for the tip. I haven't noticed any weird smells or changes in fuel economy. Is the oxygen sensor difficult to change?

Nah, the O2 sensor isn't too bad to swap, but from what you're describing, and given the jerking, it honestly sounds more like a fuel injector issue. I'd get it checked by a workshop, could save you some headaches.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop and you were right, it was a defective fuel injector. Repair cost me 515€. Runs great now!

Hey, I had something similar happen on my CT200h. Check engine light and all. Did you notice any change in your fuel economy, or any weird smells? It could be a faulty oxygen sensor messing with the air-fuel ratio.
