Lexus CT200h engine power reduced
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Lexus CT200h experienced reduced engine power and an illuminated check engine light, with a suspected defective throttle valve. After checking the air intake for obstructions, it was suggested that a faulty accelerator pedal module could be the cause, especially given the response delay when accelerating. The issue was confirmed at a workshop, where replacing the accelerator pedal module resolved the problem, restoring the car's performance.

Yes, there is a definite response delay when accelerating. Did that also affect your fuel efficiency?

Yep, the response delay and rough idling were the big clues for me. And yes, my fuel efficiency took a hit too. It's worth getting it checked out at a workshop. The diagnostics should pinpoint the problem pretty quickly. Best of luck!

I took it to a workshop, and you were right – the accelerator pedal module was defective. They replaced it, and the total cost was 265€. Car runs like new now!

Hey, that sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Opel a few years back. Reduced power and the check engine light were on. In my case, it turned out to be a dodgy accelerator pedal module. Is the engine idling rough or is there any response delay when you press the accelerator?
