Lexus CT200h Generator Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Lexus CT200h is experiencing reduced engine power, a warning light, poor starting, and flickering lights, with an error memory indicating a generator fault. These symptoms suggest a possible defective generator or alternator issue. A similar case confirmed the alternator as the problem, and it is recommended to have it professionally checked and replaced to prevent further damage.

Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't checked the belt yet. Was the alternator the actual problem in your case? And was the error memory indicating the same?

Yes, the alternator was indeed the culprit. All the symptoms you described were exactly what I experienced, and the error code pointed to the generator as well. Get it checked professionally; in my experience, it's worth the cost to avoid further damage.

Appreciate the confirmation. I'll take it to a workshop to get the alternator replaced. Thanks again!

Sounds familiar! I had similar issues with my CT200h. Weak lights and trouble starting were the first signs. Have you checked the serpentine belt? An alternator issue can cause all those symptoms.
