Lexus CT200h oil pressure warning light and engine noise

Hi, I have a 2012 Lexus CT200h (hybrid engine) with 228092 km on the clock. Recently, the oil pressure warning lamp lights up intermittently, and there are loud mechanical noises coming from the engine. I checked the oil level, and it's fine. Could this be a clogged oil filter?

I also own a CT200h, and I experienced a similar problem. It might be more serious than just a clogged oil filter. Has the oil pressure gauge been checked? Perhaps consider having the oil pressure professionally assessed before making any assumptions.

In my case, it turned out to be a defective oil pump. The symptoms were identical: oil pressure light and unusual engine noises. I strongly recommend taking your Lexus to a qualified mechanic for a diagnosis to prevent major engine damage. I ended up paying 755€ for the fix.
