Lexus CT200h oil pressure warning light and engine noise
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Lexus CT200h is experiencing intermittent oil pressure warning lights and loud engine noises, despite having an adequate oil level. While a clogged oil filter is considered, a similar case revealed a defective oil pump as the cause. It is advised to have the oil pressure professionally assessed to prevent potential engine damage.

Thanks for the input! The car doesn't have an oil pressure gauge unfortunately. What was the cause of the issue in your case, and what was the fix?

In my case, it turned out to be a defective oil pump. The symptoms were identical: oil pressure light and unusual engine noises. I strongly recommend taking your Lexus to a qualified mechanic for a diagnosis to prevent major engine damage. I ended up paying 755€ for the fix.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience and your advice; I'll take it to a workshop for diagnosis. It sounds very plausible that the oil pump is faulty.

I also own a CT200h, and I experienced a similar problem. It might be more serious than just a clogged oil filter. Has the oil pressure gauge been checked? Perhaps consider having the oil pressure professionally assessed before making any assumptions.
