Lexus CT200h Smoke on Acceleration
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Lexus CT200h exhibited issues such as a check engine light, reduced power, and smoke during acceleration. These symptoms were suspected to be caused by a faulty PCV valve, which can lead to vacuum leaks and affect the air/fuel mixture. After professional diagnosis confirmed the defective PCV valve, replacing it resolved the smoke issue and restored smooth engine performance.

The idle is a little rough. It's not stalling, but it's not as smooth as it used to be. I'm at 171253 km. Is there a way to test the PCV valve, or is it more of a 'replace and see' kind of thing?

With those symptoms, mileage, and especially the smoke, a faulty PCV valve is likely. A vacuum leak can cause all sorts of emissions problems. I'd get it checked by a professional; they'll be able to confirm the issue and replace the valve if needed.

Thanks for the advice! The workshop confirmed the PCV valve was defective. Cost me 360€ to replace, but the smoke is gone, and the engine's running smooth again. Appreciate the help!

Sounds like it could be your PCV valve. Is the idle rough at all? Sometimes a bad valve can cause vacuum leaks, messing with the air/fuel mixture. How many miles are on it?
