Lexus CT200h Windshield Washer Heater Problem

Hey, I'm having trouble with the windshield washer heater on my 2014 Lexus CT200h hybrid. I'm getting an error stored, and the spray nozzles are frozen even when it's not that cold. I'm guessing it's a bad cable or plug. Anyone else seen this?

Summary of the thread

The conversation revolves around a problem with the windshield washer heater on a 2014 Lexus CT200h, where the spray nozzles are freezing despite mild temperatures. The issue might be due to a faulty cable or plug, but it could also involve the heating element itself. A suggestion is made to inspect the heater for damage or corrosion, but ultimately, it is advised to have a professional handle the repair to avoid further complications.

I had something similar with my CT200h. Washer fluid wasn't spraying right, especially when it was cold. Did you check the heater itself, or just the connections? Maybe look for damage or corrosion on the heating element.

Thanks, I've only looked at the cable and plug so far, since electrical stuff isn't my strong suit. Where's the heating element located exactly? Can I get to it without taking apart the whole washer system?

Getting to the heating element can be tricky; it's usually part of the washer fluid reservoir or the nozzles. With that error code and what you're describing, it's probably a problem in the heater circuit. I'd suggest taking it to a shop; you could mess things up worse trying to DIY.

Thanks for the advice. I'm bringing it to a shop like you said. Luckily, replacing the windshield washer heater, parts and labor, will only be 95€.
