I tried some troubleshooting, but it was beyond me. I'd suggest a reputable workshop. They'll have the tools and expertise to diagnose and fix the incorrect coding properly.

I took your advice and consulted a workshop. The issue was indeed incorrect vehicle coding, and the repair cost 360€. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Interesting. I have an ES and recall something similar. My scanner didn't say incorrect coding, but the symptoms sound familiar. Did the malfunction indicator lamp come on?
