Yeah, pretty much dead. I have to hold it right next to the start button. Is that what happened to yours?

Yep, that's exactly what was happening. I ended up taking it to a workshop; they sorted it out quickly.

Thanks! The battery in the key was empty, as suspected. Cost me 37€ to get it replaced. Appreciate the help!

I had something similar happen with my ES. Is it completely dead? Like, no response at all from the key fob?
