Lexus ES Oil Pressure Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Lexus ES hybrid is experiencing an oil pressure warning light and mechanical noises, despite having a low mileage of 21,338 km and a seemingly normal oil level. The issue could be an electrical fault or something more serious. After consulting a workshop, it was determined that a defective oil pump was causing the low oil pressure, and the repair was completed to prevent further damage.

Oil leakage? I haven't seen any obvious leaks on the driveway. The noises are definitely concerning. Is there any easy way to check the oil pressure gauge itself? I don't want to jump to conclusions, but that noise...

Unfortunately, checking the gauge usually requires special tools. With those noises, I'd be very careful driving it. I ignored the same signs on my Saab, and it ended up costing me a fortune! Probably worth getting it checked by a professional before something goes bang.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop. Turns out the oil pump was defective, causing the low oil pressure. The repair cost 755€. Glad I caught it before it caused more damage!
