Could you explain how to test the heater circuit? I have a multimeter but don't know which pins to probe on the oxygen sensor connector.

I can offer general guidance, but I don't want to give specific pinout info in case of incorrect testing. I'd recommend checking the vehicle's repair manual or getting help from a qualified technician. It's probably best to have a professional at a workshop check it to avoid further damage; they can pinpoint the issue and the air-fuel ratio.

I appreciate the advice. I'll consult a professional to diagnose the problem. It looks like the repair will cost around 95€.

That sounds plausible. The oxygen sensor heater circuit is prone to issues because of its location in the exhaust system. Have you looked at the sensor and wiring for damage or corrosion? Before replacing the sensor, test the heater circuit to make sure it's getting power. Also, check other exhaust components.
