A 2012 Lexus ES with 97,670 km is experiencing transmission issues, including warning lights, rough shifting, and grinding noises. The problem is linked to a transmission oil pressure sensor fault, potentially caused by low gearbox oil. Yeah, there's definitely some jerking, especially between 2nd and 3rd. Did topping off the oil resolve the problem for you, or was it something more involved?

In my case, the problem persisted. I'd recommend getting it checked out at a trusted workshop. Better safe than sorry when it comes to transmissions!

Thanks for the advice! Gearbox oil was critically low. Workshop confirmed the pressure sensor was faulty due to the low oil. New sensor plus oil change cost 365€. Runs smooth now!

I had a similar issue with my ES, though I don't recall the exact fault code. Is the car jerking when shifting gears too?
