Lexus GS AC Not Cooling

Thanks for the quick reply! The AC is pretty much dead – barely any cool air coming out at all. I don't have the exact error code to hand, but I'll try to get it later. Where exactly is the flap motor located, and is it easy to access the connector/wiring to check it?

Okay, AC completely dead definitely points to a more serious problem. The flap motor is usually located behind the rear seat, somewhere in the ducting for the rear vents. Access can vary depending on the car's trim, but you'll likely need to remove some interior panels to get to it. However, if you're not comfortable messing with the interior and electricals, it might be best to just take it to a shop. A faulty cable or plug connection sounds plausible. Just be prepared for potential diagnostics fees.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I think I'll take it to a workshop. They said it was indeed a defective cable/plug connection, as you suggested. Cost me 95€ to repair. Appreciate the help!

Hmm, rear ventilation flap... that's interesting. Is the air conditioning completely dead, or is it just not cooling as effectively as it used to? And when you say 'rear ventilation flap fault,' do you know the exact error code? Could be a few things, but knowing the code would help narrow it down. Have you checked the connector or wiring to the flap motor? That's often the culprit.
