Lexus GS Blower Motor AUC Sensor Issue

Blower motor on my 2010 Lexus GS with gasoline engine stopped working. Diagnostics point to a fault with the AUC sensor. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

The blower motor on a 2010 Lexus GS stopped working, and diagnostics indicated a fault with the AUC sensor. The AUC sensor, responsible for monitoring cabin air quality, can affect the HVAC system if it sends incorrect data. A common issue is a faulty connection at the sensor, often due to a loose connector or damaged wiring. The problem was resolved by fixing the connection, restoring the blower motor's functionality.

I had a similar problem with my GS. The AUC sensor, or cabin air quality sensor, can mess with the HVAC system. If it sends bad data, the blower motor might not work right. Check the cable and plug connection to the sensor. A bad connection is often the cause. Have you looked at the wiring for damage?

When you say check the cable and plug, can you give more detail? What should I look for? I'm not experienced with auto electrics.

Make sure the connector is secure. Check for bent or broken pins. Look at the wiring for fraying or cracks. Given your lack of experience, a technician might be best. Based on my research, budget around 95€ for the repair. It seems to be a common issue.

I brought the Lexus to a local workshop. It was a faulty connection at the AUC sensor like you said. They fixed it, and the blower motor works now. Thanks!
