Lexus GS Bumper Antenna Issue

I'm having issues with what I think is the bumper antenna system on my 2005 Lexus GS with a gasoline engine. Error in memory, unlocking failing, and the engine won't start without the key in the ignition. I suspect a defective cable or plug. Anyone seen this?

But honestly, given all those symptoms, and that you've already seen the signs of a bad connection, and now you mention you don't have the tools, it REALLY sounds like you need to get it to a workshop. I messed around for ages trying to fix mine, and in the end, I just created more problems for myself and wasted time. Just my two cents.
