Lexus GS Electrical Error and Navigation Failure

My 2019 Lexus GS, gasoline engine, is throwing some odd errors. Mileage is at 151100 km. The onboard diagnostics show an error stored in the error memory alongside a general electrical malfunction and the navigation system is dead. Suspect programming of the control unit is implausible. Anyone seen anything like this?

Summary of the thread

A 2019 Lexus GS with 151,100 km was experiencing a general electrical malfunction and a dead navigation system, with an error stored in the onboard diagnostics. The issue was suspected to be related to the programming of the control unit. After checking the battery and alternator, which were functioning correctly, it was determined that the ECU might be the problem. The solution involved re-flashing the ECU at a workshop, which resolved the issues.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Electrical malfunction alongside a nav system failure sounds serious. Have you checked the battery and alternator? A weak battery can cause all sorts of weird electronic issues in modern cars. Had similar problems with my old Mazda after the battery started failing.

Battery voltage seems fine, and the alternator is charging correctly. I'm leaning more towards the ECU itself. Any experience with similar Lexus ECU problems specifically? I'm wondering if a software refresh might resolve this.

Ah, ECU problems are a pain. I haven't had that issue on a Lexus myself, but my friend had similar problems with his BMW. Turned out the dealer had to reprogram the control unit. If the battery and alternator are good, it's probably best to get it checked at a workshop before you do any further damage.

Thanks for the input. Took it to the workshop as suggested. Turns out the programming of the control unit was indeed implausible. They re-flashed the ECU; total cost was 240€. Everything seems to be working fine now.
