Lexus GS Heater Fan Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Lexus GS hybrid's heater fan has stopped working entirely, with no airflow and multiple error codes detected. The likely cause is suspected to be a faulty blower motor. Before proceeding with repairs, it's suggested to check the cabin fan fuse and listen for any unusual noises, though these checks have already been performed without resolving the issue. The recommended solution is to replace the blower motor, as similar cases have resulted in this being the necessary fix.

Fuse is good, sadly. And no, no weird noises. It was working perfectly one day and just… kaput the next. Did yours show any error codes?

Yeah, mine threw a code too. I messed around with it for a bit, checking wiring and stuff, but honestly, I'm not great with electrical wiring. Eventually, I just bit the bullet and took it to a workshop. Turned out the blower motor was shot. The electrical wiring seemed ok but I'm not 100% certain. Saved myself a lot of headache, to be honest.

Okay, sounds like I'm facing the same fate. New blower motor it is, then. My local workshop quoted me 365€ for the repair, blower motor defective they said. Thanks for sharing your experience, really appreciate it!

Hey, I had almost the exact same thing happen in my old Volvo V70 a few years back. Blower just died suddenly. Did you check the cabin fan fuse yet? That's the easiest thing to check first. Also, any weird noises coming from the blower area before it quit working entirely?
