Lexus GS Hybrid Airbag Warning Light
Summary of the thread
The airbag warning light in a 2013 Lexus GS Hybrid remains persistently illuminated. A similar issue was resolved by addressing a faulty connection in a crash sensor, suggesting that connection problems might be a common cause. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle inspected by a professional workshop to diagnose and fix any defective connections, which successfully resolved the issue in this case.

The vehicle hasn't been in any accidents during my ownership, and I'm not aware of any prior incidents. Could you elaborate on what specifically resolved the issue with your SRS light?

In my case, the workshop diagnosed a faulty connection in one of the crash sensors. They replaced the connector and that fixed the issue. Considering yours is a hybrid, it might be a slightly different setup, but I'd suggest having the connections checked at a workshop. Airbag issues can be tricky.

I appreciate the advice. I scheduled an appointment with a workshop to have the connections thoroughly inspected. I understand the potential risks associated with the airbag system and prefer a professional assessment. The workshop fixed a defective cable and plug connection. The repair cost was 95€. Thank you again for your assistance.

I have a GS, though not the hybrid version, and had a similar problem a while back. The SRS light was on constantly. Were there any issues reported before the light came on? For example, any accidents?
