Summary of the thread
A 2020 Lexus GS with 155,584 km has a check engine light on, indicating an oxygen sensor error, and increased fuel consumption. The issue may stem from a defective cable or plug connection. It's advised to inspect the oxygen sensor and connections promptly to prevent potential catalytic converter damage and address the increased fuel consumption.

The error code points towards the aged oxygen sensor, but doesn't specify which one. I haven't noticed any performance issues. Could this still be related to the catalytic converter, even without performance loss?

My oxygen sensor issue led to catalytic converter problems later. To avoid further damage, have it inspected. Given the stored error and increased fuel consumption, it's worth checking soon.

I'll schedule a workshop appointment to check the oxygen sensor and connection. The repair cost 95€. Thanks for the help.

I had a similar issue with my GS. Is it specific to one of the sensors? Usually, exhaust system issues trigger the check engine light. Any noticeable impact on performance or the catalytic converter?
