Lexus GS Transport Mode Active Issue

Hi, I'm experiencing a bizarre issue with my 2010 Lexus GS hybrid. It's showing 'Transport Mode Active' on the dash, accompanied by a general electrical malfunction, and the navigation system is completely non-functional. The car has 237134 km on it. I suspect this happened because the car is new to me and some setting wasn't properly configured when I got it. I've tried disconnecting the battery and checking all the fuses, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Hey, I have a GS too. I had something similar happen after getting some work done. Does the key fob work? Have you tried to start the engine? It sounds like it could be a software glitch. Perhaps a diagnostic check?

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, the key fob works to lock and unlock the doors, but the engine won't start. The dashboard lights up with the 'Transport Mode Active' message. A software glitch sounds plausible. Any idea how to address that? Can you give me a bit more detail on what happened to you?

Yeah, sounds exactly like what happened to mine. Key fob worked partially, dash lit up, but no engine start. In my case, it was definitely a software issue. I had to take it to a workshop to get the ECU reflashed. Bit annoying, but sorted it right out.

Thanks a lot for the info! I'll take it to a workshop for a software reflash. Good to know it's likely a simple fix and shouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. I will post the cost here once sorted. The repair was free of charge as the transport mode was not deactivated by the dealer after delivery. The cost 0€.
