Lexus GS Warning Lights and Oil Pressure
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Lexus GS hybrid displayed warning lights for the speedometer and oil pressure, with the oil appearing contaminated. The likely cause was overdue maintenance, leading to potential sludge buildup. The recommended solution was to perform an oil change and filter replacement, which resolved the issue and prevented further damage.

Overdue, you say? Hmmm, possibly... What kind of damage could that cause? Is it something an oil additive could fix, or am I looking at something serious like an oil leak affecting the oil pressure?

Additives are a band-aid, trust me. If the oil's contaminated and the pressure's low, you need to get it checked out. With my Volvo, running it too long caused some sludge buildup. Better get your Lexus to a workshop before things get worse, and definitely before you cause lasting damage.

You were spot on! Took it to the shop, and it was the maintenance interval being exceeded. New oil and filter, and they gave it a good cleaning. Cost me 165€, but way better than a new engine! Thanks for the advice; I really appreciate it!

Oh, that sounds frustrating! I had a similar thing happen with my old Volvo a while back. Same symptoms – warning lights, weird oil. In my case, it turned out I'd skipped an oil change and driven way too long. Any chance you're overdue for maintenance?
