I haven't checked the alternator output, but the battery seems okay. It's not that old. What was the cause in your case? Could it still be the battery even if it's relatively new?

In my case, it turned out the battery was defective, even though it was fairly new. But there might be an issue with the alternator. I would advise to take your car to a shop. They will sort it out quickly.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to my local shop, and you were spot on – a new battery did the trick. It was heavily discharged and not holding a charge properly. Cost me 290€, but at least it's sorted now.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Volvo V70. Symptoms were nearly identical. Have you checked the battery voltage? What about the alternator output?
