Lexus GX engine overheating

My 2023 Lexus GX hybrid is showing signs of engine overheating and the check engine light is on at 34089 km. I'm suspecting a defective radiator fan. Could a faulty speed sensor be the cause, leading to insufficient engine cooling? What diagnostic steps should I take?

I also own a Lexus GX. I've experienced similar symptoms, namely engine overheating and the check engine light. It turned out I had an issue with the engine cooling system. Does the fan seem to be running at an irregular speed, or perhaps making unusual noises? Also, does the engine temperature gauge indicate unusually high readings?

The fan's operation seems inconsistent, and there are unusual sounds coming from it. The engine temperature gauge does reflect elevated readings. What was the specific cooling system issue you encountered? Was it also related to the radiator fan, and if so, what was the corrective action?

In my case, the problem stemmed from a faulty speed sensor. I would recommend consulting with a qualified technician to perform a thorough diagnostic assessment. Ignoring the problem might cause severe engine damage. It might be a bit costly. My repair set me back approximately 250€, but it's a worthwhile investment.

That corroborates my suspicion of a faulty speed sensor influencing the radiator fan's performance. I will schedule an appointment with a trusted mechanic for a comprehensive evaluation and repair. Thanks for sharing your experience.
