Thanks! I haven't checked the voltage directly, just assumed it's the battery since all symptoms point that way. What did you end up doing to fix your GX key?

I initially thought it was something more sinister, like a deeper electrical issue, but my local workshop just swapped the battery in the key fob. If you can’t check the voltage, maybe just try that first? It’s the equivalent of putting gas in the tank before tearing apart the engine.

I have a Lexus GX too, although it's a bit older. I had a similar issue. The key fob acted like it had a mind of its own. Did you check the voltage of the battery in the key? It might be lower than you think. It's like trying to run a marathon on an empty stomach!
