Lexus GX Smartphone Pairing Issue

Alright, Lexus gurus, I'm pulling my hair out! My 2013 Lexus GX with a gasoline engine is acting possessed. Basically, my smartphone refuses to connect to the multimedia system. I've tried everything – Bluetooth, USB. The system acts like nothing's there. To top it off, I scanned for codes and there's an error stored in the error memory, which I think may have to do with the issue. I suspect it's some kind of pairing issue, but I'm at a loss. Has anyone encountered this before?

I have a GX as well, and I experienced something similar not too long ago. Check the pairing settings in the multimedia interface itself. There might be a conflict with a previously connected device.

Thanks for the quick reply! Could you elaborate a bit on 'pairing settings'? I've poked around in the menus, but I didn't find anything super obvious related to conflicts or managing paired devices. Was it buried somewhere obscure, or am I just blind?

My apologies, I should have provided more details. Unfortunately, I do not remember the exact menu structure. To avoid damaging any components, I would suggest visiting a workshop to have the pairing reset.

I took your advice and visited my local shop. Turns out, the incorrect pairing was indeed the culprit! They reset the system for 45€, and now my phone connects without a hitch. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
