Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check the connections. Where exactly is the compressor located? And how would I know if the connection is defective – is there a way to test it?

On the Audi, it was near the rear axle, but I am unsure about the IS. Inspect the plug for corrosion and secure seating. If you lack the tools or confidence to properly test the wiring, I would strongly recommend that you visit a qualified workshop.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to the shop, and it turned out to be a loose connector, just like you suspected. Cost me 95€ to fix. Everything is working fine now.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Audi A6. The air suspension is a complex system. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the compressor? That's often the culprit. A defective connection can cause all sorts of issues, like the ones you are describing. Is the compressor making any noise at all?
