Lexus IS Cruise Control Failure

Hey! That sounds annoying. Often with Lexus, these things can be a pain. Does the error message say anything specific? When did it start, and have you noticed anything else acting weird around the same time? Maybe something to do with the steering wheel controls?

Thanks for the quick reply! The error message is pretty generic, just says 'cruise control malfunction'. It started yesterday out of nowhere. Steering wheel controls all seem to be working fine, radio and stuff. Could it be the cruise control actuator itself?

Hmm, could be the actuator, but those are usually pretty reliable. A 'cruise control malfunction' error and everything else is working points to a faulty system somewhere in the cruise control. I'd suggest getting it hooked up to a proper diagnostic machine, or maybe just take it to a workshop.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice! Took it to the workshop, turned out to be a defective cable connection, they fixed it for 95€. All working as expected now!
