Lexus IS door lock malfunction

Hi, I've got a problem with my 2015 Lexus IS with a gasoline engine. The doors can no longer be locked or unlocked. I suspect it's a faulty door contact signal. Has anyone experienced something similar? I've checked fuses and basic wiring but I am worried that cable or plug connection of the component might be defective.

I had a similar issue with my IS. Check the wiring harness in the door jamb. It's a common point of failure. Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the door sensor plugs to see if that helps?

Thanks for the quick reply. Where exactly is the door sensor plug located? Is it easy to access or do I need to remove the door panel? I'm trying to avoid unnecessary disassembly if possible.

I also tried to avoid disassembly at first, but the plug is kinda behind the door panel. After some frustration, I ended up going to the workshop. I don't wanna recommend it but that's how I solved my problem.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I'll check it out myself first, but it sounds like a trip to the workshop may be unavoidable. The problem was solved, it cost me 95€. It was, as suspected, a defective cable or plug connection.
