Thanks for the quick reply. Where exactly is the door sensor plug located? Is it easy to access or do I need to remove the door panel? I'm trying to avoid unnecessary disassembly if possible.

I also tried to avoid disassembly at first, but the plug is kinda behind the door panel. After some frustration, I ended up going to the workshop. I don't wanna recommend it but that's how I solved my problem.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I'll check it out myself first, but it sounds like a trip to the workshop may be unavoidable. The problem was solved, it cost me 95€. It was, as suspected, a defective cable or plug connection.

I had a similar issue with my IS. Check the wiring harness in the door jamb. It's a common point of failure. Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the door sensor plugs to see if that helps?
