It's been a while, but from what I remember, it was near the base of the steering column, under the dash. Honestly, it might be worth just taking it to a workshop if you are not that familiar with car electrics. It sounds like it is going to be a similar issue.

Understood. I've had it looked at by a professional, and as suspected, the issue was indeed a faulty connector. The repair, including parts and labor, came to 95€. It's now resolved.

I had something similar happen in my IS. The electric steering adjustment just stopped working. Have you checked the wiring harness under the dash? Sometimes they can get jostled and cause a bad connection.
