Could you provide more specific instructions on how to check the control module and its location? What other electronic malfunctions should I be looking for?

The control module is buried pretty deep. Unless you're comfortable tearing into the dash, I wouldn't recommend messing with it yourself. You'll likely need to remove trim pieces and possibly part of the center console. As for other issues, flickering lights or the navigation acting up could be related, but it's a long shot. Best bet is to take it to a workshop that specializes in automotive electronics. They can pinpoint the faulty connection without causing more damage. My dealer quoted me 95€ for a new wire.

I appreciate the advice. Given the complexity, I will take the vehicle to a trusted workshop for professional diagnosis and repair. It seems the cable/plug connection was indeed the problem; the call system is now working. Thank you again!

Sounds familiar! I've got an IS too. I had something similar with my emergency call system. Did you check the control module? It's a pain to get to, but that’s where the main connections are. Any weirdness with other electronics?
