Hiya! Really grateful for your input. Your experience seems quite similar to mine. Just out of curiosity and to put my mind at ease, do you recall how much you ended up coughing up for this repair? Also, has anything else popped up related to this since they've fixed it? Thanks again, I'm quite reassured to know I'm not the only one who's had this kinda issue with their Lexus.
Hey, no problem at all, happy to help! Repairing the faulty Cable on the pump/control unit set me back about 95 Euro. Not exactly pocket change, but considering the complexity of the job, I'd reckon it was fair. And yep, since the mechanic sorted it out, everything has been smooth sailing. Gotta say, it gave me a real peace of mind, no more check engine light or overheating issues. Just remember, the mechanic’s your friend! Trusting their expertise made all the difference for my Lexus, and I think you'll find the same. Good luck and keep on cruising!
Cheers! Your insights have been a big help and a relief. I’ll make sure to note your advice. Almost €100 seems reasonable considering the issue. It's great to hear about your positive experience with your mechanic - gives me a dash of hope! And most importantly, good to know that it's been smooth sailing for your Lexus since the fix. I'll be sure to ring my mechanic tomorrow and work on getting my baby back up and running. Happy cruising to you too! Thanks again for sharing your experience, much appreciated!
Hey! I feel you. Had a somewhat analogous issue with my 2012 Lexus ES Hybrid. The workflow in the garage turned out to be quite intense as sealing back the engine unit after resolving the Cable on the pump/control unit defect is always a big task. The Wifi warning light and the overheating were signs that my mechanic picked up on as well, just like you mentioned. Because of the complexity, it was deemed a pretty serious issue indeed. Blimey, I spent nearly the whole day at the garage while they worked on my car! But hats off to them, the team did a fantastic job locating and fixing the problem. Turns out, the heart of the matter was a faulty cable in the pump/control unit. So yes trust your mechanic on this one and pray you don't have to hang around the garage all day like I had to! Remember this though, could look serious but don't let it scare you. It's just a machine at the end of the day and machinists know their job. Best of luck with your Lexus!
