Thanks! When you had the problem, was the engine completely dead, or did it try to start? And was it happening all the time?

Mine was completely unresponsive, just silence. And it was persistent. If cleaning the terminals doesn't work, get the electrical system checked out.

Just wanted to let you know, it was the cable connections! Cleaned them and it started right up. Cost me 155€ at the shop. Thanks for confirming what I suspected.

I had a similar problem with my hybrid IS not long ago. Turned out to be a corroded battery terminal. Check for corrosion or looseness. Also, check the battery voltage.
