Lexus IS Injection Nozzle Issue

Thanks for the quick reply! My emissions are definitely higher than usual. I've tried injector cleaner, but no luck. The car has almost 200000 km. Did you also experience reduced engine power? How did you eventually solve your problem?

Yep, reduced power was a big symptom. Felt like I was missing a cylinder or two. Given that you've tried injector cleaner and the symptoms persist, especially with the higher mileage, I'd say it's time to visit a workshop. They can properly diagnose and replace the faulty nozzle. Don't wait too long, as it can potentially damage other engine components.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience! I took your advice and brought it to a workshop. Turns out, you were spot on – it was a defective injection nozzle. The repair cost me around 515€, but now the car runs like new again. I appreciate your help!

I had a similar issue with my Lexus IS. Rough idling, poor starting – it was a nightmare. Have you checked your emissions? It could be a sign of a faulty injector. When mine went bad, it was like driving a tractor. How many kilometers are on your car and did you try injector cleaner?
