Interesting! Where exactly is that door switch located? Is it part of the door mechanism?

Yes, the door switch is integrated into the door mechanism itself. It's responsible for signaling when the door is open or closed, which affects the keyless entry system. While it could be a simple disconnection, I would suggest visiting a trusted workshop to check for any defective cables or plugs. I got it repaired for 95€, and it has been working since.

Thanks a bunch! Sounds like a plan. I'll get it checked out. Cost me 95€ too, wiring was the issue!

I had a similar issue with my IS. The door handle electronics can be a bit temperamental. Have you checked the door switch itself? Sometimes it's just a bad connection there.
