Lexus IS Parking Aid Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Lexus IS hybrid experienced a parking aid fault, with the parking assistant non-functional and an error code logged. The issue was suspected to be due to a faulty cable or connection, especially since the rearview camera also glitched. After considering potential causes like a damaged control module or sensors, the problem was resolved by addressing a corroded connector, restoring the parking sensors, rearview camera, and parking assist functions.

Good shout on the control module. The sensors look okay, but is there a way to properly test them without some fancy diagnostic tool? Trying to avoid a pricey shop visit.

I didn't get too deep into troubleshooting myself. The sensors seemed fine visually. I took it to a workshop, they sorted it quickly. Could be worth getting a quote.

Cheers. Took it in – corroded connector, like the error code suggested. 95€ later and the parking sensors, rearview camera and parking assist are back in action. Appreciate the input!

I've got a similar issue with my IS - the blind spot sensors started acting up. Check the control module for corrosion or damage. Have you checked the parking sensors themselves? Maybe one took a knock?
