Lexus IS Power Windows Not Working After Battery Replacement
Summary of the thread
After replacing the battery in a 2008 Lexus IS, the power windows stopped functioning, and an error code appeared. The issue was suspected to be related to the window regulator needing re-initialization. Attempts to reset the windows manually were unsuccessful, leading to the recommendation of using a diagnostic tool at a workshop to resolve the problem. Ultimately, the window regulator was re-initialized at a shop, successfully fixing the issue.

Reset procedure? Could you elaborate on that? I've tried holding the window switch down, but it didn't seem to work.

Yes, I tried resetting it myself, but it didn't work. It turns out the regulator needs to be initialized with a diagnostic tool. I would advise you to visit a workshop.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I ended up taking it to a shop, and they re-initialized the window regulator. Cost me 290€. Problem solved.

I had a similar problem with my IS. After replacing the battery, the window controls went haywire. Have you tried the reset procedure?
