Yep, same symptoms. I didn't bother with extra checks, just went straight to the shop. Turned out the heating mat was indeed defective.

Appreciate the confirmation! Sounds like it's definitely heading to the workshop then. Just got the estimate – 390€ for the heating repair. Ouch!

I had a similar issue with my IS. Sounds like the heating mat to me too.
