Lexus IS Suspension Damping Fault

Has anyone experienced issues with the suspension damping adjustment on a 2008 Lexus IS with a gasoline engine? I'm getting an error message, a warning light, and a bumpy ride. Diagnostics suggest a defective cable or plug connection.

Sounds familiar! I've got an IS too and had similar symptoms once. Warning light and rough ride, pretty annoying. Did you check the shock absorber connections? That's where my problem was...

Honestly, I didn't dive too deep myself. After fiddling with the connections briefly and seeing no improvement, I took it straight to a workshop. They confirmed it was a dodgy connector and sorted it quickly. Best bet is to get it properly checked.

The vehicle was inspected by a certified technician who found a defective electrical connector within the damping control circuit. Replacing the connector and associated wiring cost 95€. The vehicle is now functioning as expected.
