Lexus IS turbo boost issue

The whistling and hissing are loudest during acceleration, especially when the turbo is boosting. If it was the boost pressure sensor, what's the best way to deal with it, and where is it located?

Yep, sounds like what I had! Definitely get that boost sensor checked. It can be a pain to get to depending on your engine. I ended up taking mine to a shop. They can check for leaks in the turbo system too.

Thanks for confirming. It was a faulty turbo boost pressure sensor, specifically a bad cable connection. The repair cost 95€.

Hey, I've got an IS too, and that sounds familiar. You mentioned whistling and hissing. Is it constant or only when the turbocharger is supposed to be kicking in? Could be a leak in the intake manifold somewhere, messing with the boost sensor readings.
