Lexus LC Belt Tensioner Issue

Alright Lexus gurus, I'm pulling my hair out here. My 2021 Lexus LC with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. I'm at 112728 km and the belt tensioner seems to be shot. The belt-handover no longer works, which I'm pretty sure means the defective belt bringer/handover itself is the culprit. Anyone else run into this?

Summary of the thread

A 2021 Lexus LC with 112,728 km is experiencing issues with the belt tensioner, leading to a malfunctioning belt-handover and a squealing noise, particularly during startup. The problem is suspected to be a defective belt bringer/handover. A similar case was resolved by replacing the faulty belt tensioner at a workshop, suggesting that professional repair is the recommended solution.

Hmm, sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my LC. Though I didn't diagnose it myself like you have. Is it making a squealing noise, especially on startup?

Yeah, that's definitely happening, especially when it's cold. Louder on startup, then it quiets down a bit. What did you end up doing to fix it?

Okay, mine was the same. Honestly, I just took it straight to the workshop. Turned out to be exactly what you're thinking - a bad belt tensioner. Not worth messing with myself, especially on these cars. Cost about 455€ to get it sorted.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions! Sounds like I'll be heading to the shop then. Appreciate the help!
