A sensor? I hadn't thought of that. Where is that usually located? Anything I can check myself before I end up at the shop?

Well, I'm no expert, but in my case, the sensor triggered a whole cascade of issues. Seriously, it was a nightmare. In the end, it was the electric motor in the brake calliper that was defective! I'd say, save yourself the headache and get it checked by a professional, yeah?

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to the shop, and you were spot on - electric motor in the brake calliper. Cost me 505€ to replace. Annoying, but at least it's fixed.

Oh, that sounds familiar! I had a similar issue on my 2018 Volvo V90. Electronic parking brakes, what a pain, right? Was it the same symptoms, error message and all? I wonder if it might be a brake sensor issue. Did you already check the brake diagnostics?
