Lexus LC Height Control Restricted Warning

Alright Lexus gurus, I'm pulling my hair out here! I've got a 2022 Lexus LC hybrid, and recently a 'height control restricted' warning light has popped up on the dash. It's got about 246210 km on the clock. I've noticed that my low beams seem off, either pointing way too high or dipped too low, and the ride is noticeably bumpier than usual. What's really weird is that the car seems to be sitting unevenly, like the front is higher than the rear. I hooked it up to a code reader, and sure enough, there's an error stored related to the height control system. Anyone else experienced anything similar? Any ideas before I take it to the dealership and get bent over on repair costs?

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Lexus LC hybrid displayed a 'height control restricted' warning, with symptoms including misaligned low beams, a bumpy ride, and uneven vehicle height. The issue was traced to a defective control rod on the leveling sensor, confirmed by an error code related to the height control system. The suggested solution was to have a professional inspect the leveling system, which led to a successful repair by replacing the faulty control rod.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I own a Lexus LC too, and I had a similar issue with the height control system. The bumpy ride and uneven height are definitely telltale signs. The error code you're seeing likely points to a problem with one of the leveling sensors or their associated components.

Thanks for the reply! When you had this issue, do you remember what exactly was causing it? And did you manage to fix it yourself, or did you have to take it in?

In my case, the workshop diagnosed a defective control rod on the leveling sensor. It's a relatively inexpensive part, but accessing it can be tricky. Considering the symptoms and error code you described, I would suggest letting a professional check the leveling system.

Thanks so much for the insights! Turns out you were spot on. Took it to my local mechanic, and it was indeed a busted control rod on the height sensor. Part plus labor came to 110€, which is a lot better than what I was expecting from the dealership! Really appreciate the help!
