Thank you for your input. I have visually inspected the wiring harness and connections, and they appear to be intact. Is there a specific electrical test I should perform to further diagnose the sensor's functionality?

Given that you've already checked the wiring and connections, and the issue persists, it does sound like the sensor itself is the problem. I would recommend professional diagnostics with specialized tools. That should pinpoint if it is the sensor and what the potential fix is.

Understood. I appreciate your advice. I took the vehicle to a qualified technician, and their analysis confirmed a defective rail pressure sensor. The sensor was replaced at a cost of 240€, which resolved the issue.

A faulty rail pressure sensor could certainly cause those symptoms. Have you checked the sensor's wiring and connections for any signs of damage or corrosion? A visual inspection there might reveal the cause.
